A weather barrier inspection begins by visually checking the exterior sheathing, flashing, and exposed wood for cracks, holes, or gaps. we pay special attention to windows, doors, rooflines, and joints. The weather barrier is checked to ensure it is continuous, properly adhered, and overlaps are sealed. Flashing around openings and vents must be correctly installed to direct water away and prevent damage. Joints and holes are inspected for sealed gaps.
